U.S. and Iran

Oil was discovered in Iran in 1908 which lead to the involvement of the West and of the super powers of the world. The United States on the other hand tried not to get involved and was on the side of an independent Iran being lead by _Reza Shah Pahlavi. Then the prime minister began to take over power from the Shah. Once the US felt threatened by the relationship being created by the USSR and Iran the CIA became involved and created a mission to return power to the _Shah. The Shah was very thankful of the help received by America that he provided the US with a steady flow of oil and military equipment. The people of Iran began to grow anger for the uneven wealth and supplies being spread around the world, and the minimal allie connections being made besides that of the United States(PBS). The United States and Iran have had  a very up and down and back and forth relationship throughout the years.
